With an observant mind and a nomadic spirit, Sarthak believes that MUNs should not just teach you how to speak, but how to think. He values substance over show, intent over intensity, and always pushes committees to go beyond the surface. For him, MUN is not just a platform — it’s a mirror of the real world, and every session is an opportunity to shape the way we see it.

I am a final-year law student at Kalinga University, Raipur, with a strong passion for public speaking and a well-rounded experience in debates/speeches/essays, and moot court competitions. Whether it's crafting or compelling stories or performing on stage, I strive to bring a distinctive and thoughtful perspective to every endeavor I undertake. I have been actively involved in the MUN circuit beginning my journey as a delegate at Ikigai MUN, 2023 hosted by VSS. It is both meaningful and exhilarating to now return to where it all began—this time stepping into the role of Vice-Chair and contributing from a new vantage point. I am looking forward to embrace this new responsibility with the same enthusiasm and dedication that have shaped my journey so far.
AGENDA
The agenda for this session — “Deliberation on the Socioeconomic Impact of Rising Tariff Wars and Trade Protectionism on Global Development and Economic Equity” — focuses on one of the most pressing economic challenges of our time. In recent years, tariff wars and increasing protectionist policies have disrupted global trade flows, strained diplomatic relations, and disproportionately impacted developing economies. Delegates will explore the broader consequences of these measures on international development, including slowed economic growth, widened inequalities, and reduced access to essential goods and services. The discussion will also emphasize the need for collaborative economic frameworks that promote fair trade, resilience, and sustainable growth. This agenda encourages participants to assess not only the immediate economic implications but also the long-term impact on global cooperation and equity.
